Lester Carlton Haynes entered into eternal rest, Wednesday, December 26, 2018; born the youngest of seven children to Neal Haynes and Helen Belton Haynes, on June 4, 1958 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Lester is preceded in death by his father, Neal Haynes; brother, James L. Haynes and sister, Barbara Haynes Beard.
Lester accepted Christ at an early age at Vine Glenn Missionary Baptist Church. He received his education from Metro Nashville Davidson County public schools, graduating from McGavock High School in 1976.
After finishing high school, Lester enlisted in the United States Navy.
Later in life, Lester met and married Angela Waller on September 4, 1990 eventually sharing 28 years of life together.
Lester was loved by many, bringing much light and life to anyone who had the pleasure of being in his atmosphere.
His first love was to God and then to his wife and mother.
He was especially fond of his nieces and nephews.
Lester’s knowledge of various subjects, particularly historical facts and politics were unsurpassed; he was fun-loving and entertaining to say the least. His energy and presence will be missed.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory: His loving wife, Angela Waller Haynes; His devoted and loving mother, Helen Belton Haynes, sister Lillian Rhodes, brother, Cornelius Haynes (Elizabeth), brother, Barry (Maco) Haynes and sister, Deborah Haynes.
He also leaves to mourn, four brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, Larry Whitmore, Fred Murray, Randy Pinkerton, Coleman Beard, Hazel Nelson and Billie Pleasant.
