“The Lord is the light and my salvation, Whom shall I fear. The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I ne afraid.”
Today, we cherish the memory of our beloved son, father, sister, brother, uncle, cousin and nephew. Lewis Kent Lyons, who was called to his heavenly home on March 28, 2016 at his home.
Kent was born to the late Thomas Lyons and Lula Watson on December 21, 1966. He graduated from Peabody High School and attended Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN.
Kent professed hope and faith in Christ at an early age and was united with the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church. He was employed by Dr. Spence. He was member of the New Springhill Missionary Baptist Church until his health failed.
Kent leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish his memories: mother: Lula Watson, a special stepfather, Virgil Watson; one son Karlos Lyons and a daughter-in-law Brittany Lyons of Jackson Mississippi; Four Brothers, Jerry(Tonya) Lyons and Rodney Russell of Trenton, TN and Will Frank Murriel of Racine Wisconsin and Adrian(Brittanie) Doaks of Jackson, TN; Five Sisters: Maria Overstreet, Ginger Doaks, Charlotte Doaks and Patricia (Sylvester) Pigue all of Trenton, TN and Brenda Spence of Dallas, Texas; nieces and nephews who he loved dearly and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He will be met in heaven by his father, Thomas Lyons, sisters, Paulette Nolan and Carol Johnson and stepfather Raymond Doaks.
