Lillie May Favors

On June 3, 1929 God blessed the world with Lillie May Morgan. Born to the late Lillie Bradley and Louis Morgan. She was raised in the small town of Bartow, Georgia where she attended and graduated from the Georgia school-systems. She later met a guy name Ruben C Favors and fell in love at that time Ruben joined the military (navy). Ruben returned home from the war he and Lillie got married on June 10th 1960 turning her into the Mrs. Favors you guys all know today. They relocated to Buffalo, New York where she worked and retired from the Buffalo General Hospital as a nurse. This union was blessed with two children Micheal I. Favors Sr. and Anthony K. Favors Sr.


Lillie greatest joy was being open and friendly to everyone no matter what walk of life they came from. She loved to give even when she didn’t have it to give just to see a smile. She fed everyone who was hungry and would even stitch you up if you fell. No matter the time of day Lillie doors were always open; come to think of it I don’t think them doors were ever locked! Lillie didn’t feel the need to lock doors because she said she was bathed in the blood of Jesus and nothing or no one is stronger than her God. She loved the church, God was her best friend. To her any and everything was done through him and that’s what she taught so many people. She would tell stories saying; if you’re down stay down and pray and ask God to help you trust in the Lord that he will and he shall come to you. Maybe not when you want it but when you need it. If you couldn’t find Lillie outside in her garden you could find her in the kitchen cooking. The two things she loved doing the most.


Her memory will forever be cherished by; her baby sister Elizabeth Davis, her grandchildren Kanissa Favors ,Tamika Favors, Anthony Favors Jr., La’Shell Favors, Antonio (Cassandra) Favors, Michael Favors Jr., Brandon Favors, Breanna Favors, Ashley Favors, Ti’me Thomas Daughter-in-law Gerimaine Favors nephews Clarence Segars Jason(Nakesha) Segars, Hafiz Rollins and a host of great grand children along with a host of other relatives and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two children and granddaughter Turquoise Favors
