Linda Gay Mitchell

Linda departed her earthly life Friday, November 18, 2016. She was born on September 4, 1962 in Nashville, Tennessee to Leslie Wilson and Blanch Mitchell.

She was educated in the public schools of Nashville, Tennessee where she attended East High School.

Linda professed her belief in Jesus Christ and was baptized at United House of Prayer Church under the leadership of Bishop Junior Givens where she was a faithful member working on the Usher Board Ministry for many years. Later she moved her membership to the Woodmont Hills Church of Christ in Nashville, Tennessee where she served faithful until her health would not allow her to attend any longer.

Linda worked in housekeeping for many, many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael J. Mitchell on November 12, 2015.

Linda leaves a loving family to cherish her memory. She is survived by very devoted companion (husband), Jerome Moore; son, Jerome Mitchell; daughters, Angela Mitchell, Tomeka Mitchell, Jessica Moore, Latricia Jefferies and Matricia Bass; 13 grandchildren; siblings, Leslie (Jewel) Mitchel, Ricky Mitchell, Kerry Mitchell and Earline Brown; 2 aunts, Eddie Church and Ada Wilson; numerous other relatives and friends; church family, the Woodmont Hills Church of Christ.
