Margaret Ree Polk age 82 of Nashville transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Monday, December 8, 2014. She was born January 5, 1932 in Bethel, TN to the late Lowell and Teenie Gilbert.
Margaret gave her life to Christ at an early age and was raised with strong family values. She obtained her diploma from Bridgeforth High School in Pulaski, TN.
Margaret moved to Nashville as a young adult. She was employed at Vanderbilt Hospital in 1966, where she worked for 25 years before retiring. She is fondly remembered by co-workers and friends at Vanderbilt.
Margaret attended Tabernacle Baptist Church and Mt Olive Baptist Church faithfully until illness made it difficult to attend. However, she was still very devoted to The Word and lived her life with Christian principals.
Margaret loved shopping and was always exquisitely dressed. She never left the house without her makeup. Her nails were neatly manicured and hair was impeccably done under her sharp hats. She believed in beauty and grooming and it showed in her fashionable and trendy attire. She never met a stranger. She was vivacious and wore an endearing smile for everyone. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends who enjoyed her company and her sense of humor.
