Margaret Ransom was born on May 5, 1941 in Camden, Alabama to the union of Claude and Juanita Sellers. She entered into rest on November 6, 2020 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Margaret gave her life to Christ at a young age and later joined St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church where she was a faithful and dedicated servant. She was an Elder and a Choir member until her health started to decline.
Margaret received her education in Selma, Alabama and graduated from R.B. Hudson High School. She would later attend Agricultural & Industrial State University now known as, Tennessee State University.
On October 30, 1964, she was united with William Thomas Ransom, Jr. “Buster” in holy matrimony, and to this union three children were born.
Margaret is cherished by her family: Son, Vanal (Neschell) Ransom; Two daughters, Monica (Eric) Robertson and Tracy (Anthony) Lewis; grandchildren, Ashley, Herschel, Ajah, Andria, Osanna, Amiya and William; great granddaughter, Paisley Jordan; Brother, Luther Sellers, Chicago, Illinois. A host of nieces and nephews; cousins and dear friends.
Walk through visitation (family present) Friday, November 13th from 2-6pm at Highland Hills Funeral Home, 2422 Brick Church Pike. Family visitation Saturday, November 14th from 11am-12noon with funeral to follow at St Andrews Presbyterian Church, 949 TS Jackson Avenue with Pastor Leonard Jordan, Eulogist. Interment Greenwood Main Cemetery.
