Margaret Hunter-Wade was born in Fayette County Tennessee on January 5, 1942 to the late Fon and Fannie Hunter. She Transitioned on Sunday November 29, 2015 in Madison, TN.
At an early age Margaret professed her faith in Christ at Russell Grove Baptist in Somerville, TN. She later moved to Whiteville, TN to care for her mother and reunited with Russell Grove Baptist Church. When her health began to fail she moved to Nashville, TN, and joined Mount Calvary Baptist Church.
She graduated from Allen White High School where she was National Farmers of America (NFA) Sweetheart. Margaret received her B.S. & masters Degrees from Tennessee State University.
She was employed at Bolivar Industrial High School, as a teacher in Bolivar, TN. Margaret later moved to Nashville where she worked at Lentz Health and then in Human Resources at Tennessee State University. She retired as the Director of Human Resources from Tennessee State University.
Margaret loved helping others and was always about the business of helping everyone; her sisters, brothers, family, friends and even strangers. It was her desire to make sure you were able to receive an education if you wanted to further your education. She went out of her way to assist others to enroll in school.
Margaret is preceded in death by her brother Aubrey (Patricia) Hunter and sister Ada Morman.
She leaves to cherish her memory: eight brothers and six sisters; James Hunter, of Nashville, TN, Percy (Barbara) Hunter of Memphis, TN, Davis Hunter of Nashville, TN , Bernice White of Nashville, TN, Fon Jr. (Freda) of Madison, TN, Frank (Shelia) Hunter of Nashville, TN, Dixie (Willie) Spencer of Bolivar, TN, Josephine (William) Chambers of LaVergne, TN, Francis (Gary) Gore, of Nashville, TN, Dorothy (Duane) Crowe, of Winchester, VA, Willie (Karen) Hunter of Jackson, TN, Charlie (Tamiko) Hunter, of Antioch, TN, Carolyn Morrow of Nashville, TN and Carl Hunter of Nashville, TN, and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, friends, and a special family friend Ianthia "Drea" Washington.
