Margaret “Tapsy” White was born on March 3rd, 1971, to Bernice and the late Melvin White in Nashville, TN. She transitioned from this life on Friday, October 8th, 2021.

Margaret was educated in the Metro Davidson County Public School System, graduating from Whites Creek Comprehensive High School in 1989. She was employed at Vanderbilt Medical Center as a caregiver until her health began to fail.

Margaret gave her life to Christ and was baptized at an early age under the leadership of Rev. James Thomas at Jefferson Street Missionary Baptist Church. As a child, she loved spending the summers in West TN with her grandparents.

“Tapsy”, as she was affectionally called, was a quiet spirit and a joy to be around. She enjoyed cooking, going to the movies, and watching game show.

She was preceded in death by her father: Melvin White, Sr., and her brother Jeremiah White. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Aneesa (Neesy) Mansfield, and sons, Aaron White, Diezel White, and Deven White; grandchildren, Jada-Marie Cherry, Cameryn Blakely Cooper, and Avery Jaire White; her mother, Bernice White, and siblings, Melvin White Jr, Amanda White, Miriam White, Diana White, and Monique White; A host of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and neighbors.
