Martha Lee Buchanana was born April 30, 1936, in Nashville, Tennessee to the late George Buchanan and Callie Primm Buchanan. She transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Monday, December 17, 2018, after a brief illness.
Martha was educated in the public school of Nashville, TN. She professed her hope and faith in Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of the Bass Street Baptist Church, for many years in South Nashville under the leadership of the late, Reverend Joe King. Where she was a usher (doorkeeper).
Martha was employed for a number of years at Lester’s Cleaners and later she became a full time home maker where she loved talking care of others. Some of her hobbies were, singing, dancing, cooking and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Pollard; sisters, Mary Middleton and Callie Britton; brother, June Buchanan.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a daughter, Denita Moore; son, Christopher Buchanan; devoted granddaughter & caregiver, Markeise (Russell) Readus; grandchildren, Markeiyia Winters, LaTashyia Davis, Anthony L. Davis & DeAngelo Brown; sister, Susie Davis; brothers, Frank, Tom, Fred (Cathy), James (Kay) Buchanan; great grandchildren, Marke Redus, Antwoine, Job Jr, Aniyah Job, Markeiyia Winters, Austin Smith, Jayce Wilson, Xazier Davis, Zyaire Moore, Ke Anthony Davis, Kemaria Miller, DeAsia Miller, Dante Jr, Decorion, LaDavian and Nayorbay; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
