Mary "Teenie" Etta Wordlaw

Mary Etta Ferby Wordlaw affectionately known as "Teenie" was born to the late Lucille Ross Ferby and Solo Wordlaw in Nashville, TN.

She is preceded in death by her stepmother, Jammie Wordlaw, sister, Marion Wordlaw; brothers, Alfonzo Ferby, Michael Wordlaw and niece Margaret Ferby.

Mary Professed her life to Christ at an early age, united with Hopewell M.B. Church, and then moved her membership to King Solomon M.B. Church under the leadership of the late Dr. Morgan Babb. She later moved her membership to Boyce Street M.B. Church under the leadership of Jerome Overton and she remained there under the leadership of Pastor Gleason Rogers, where she attended until her heath failed.

Mary attended the Metro Davidson County Public Schools and graduated from North High School class of 1972. She was self employed and loved her job. Mary was known as the life of a party! She was a Titans fan, loved watching the Titans play and old movies. She loved being in the presence of her family sharing quality time.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories devoted sisters, Ann Ferby Talley- Hicks, Norma (John) Henry; Sisters, Mamie Craig and Barbara Turney; Devoted brother, David "Bobby"(Beverly) Ferby; brothers, Johnny ( Emma) Wordlaw and Dennis Wordlaw. Devoted nieces, Tonya Ferby, Felethia Ferby-Crutcher, Michelle Ferby, and Sheleetha Ferby and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends at Cheatham Place. Devoted friends, Edna Davenport, Carline Gilbert and Ricky Garrett.
