Mattie was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Fannie Cotton; sisters, Nura Alimin, Lydia Aqeel, Marie Cotton; brothers, Curtis Cotton, Cleophus Cotton, Willie Cotton, Jr., O. C. Cotton, Riley Cotton.
She leaves to cherish her memory: son, James Morris, Jr. (Scottsdale, AZ), sisters, Etta Willis (Nashville, TN) and Geraldine Winfrey (Nashville, TN), brother, Galvin Young (Nashville, TN), sisters-in-law, Lillie Cotton, Debra Cotton; nieces, LaTonya (Nashville, TN) and LaBrina Winfrey (Lawrenceville, GA), other devoted nieces and nephews, a host of cousins, and friends.
