Najari Ashante Spinks

Najari Ashante Spinks, a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, was born July 29, 1995 in Nashville, TN to mother Allysa Lynn (Spinks) Million and father Dorian Ernest Spinks, Jr. Najari was drop-dead gorgeous, feisty, in-your-face outspoken, creative, and talented. Najari would do anything for a friend and always lit up a room with her smile, energy, and crazy sense of humor. On Wednesday June 7, 2023, Najari completed her earthly mission and took the Master's hand for ultimate rest.


At a young age, Najari accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and was baptized at Born Again Church of Nashville, TN. Najari attended and graduated from Hillwood High School of Nashville, TN where she was a cheerleader. During Najari's high school journey as a student, she developed the love for hair and fashion. Najari further went on to attend and graduate from Tennessee College of Applied Technology of Nashville, TN and became a licensed cosmetologist.


Najari was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Willie and Emma Appleton, and Margaret Appleton and paternal grandmothers Wilma Spinks and Dorothy Hornesby. She will be deeply missed by mother, Allysa Lynn (Spinks) Million; father Dorian Ernest Spinks Jr.; sister, Sykera Spinks; niece Jayda Wade; grandfather Dorian Spinks Sr.; aunts Anita Edmondson, Mellnee Ransom, Denene Spinks, and Tahira Spinks; great aunt Ella D. Owens; uncles Aaron Edmondson, Jimmy Edmondson, and Willis (Vanessa) Appleton; special friends Israel, Barbie, and John; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
