Nathaniel Gaines

Nathaniel Earl Gaines, Age 55 of Nashville, Tennessee departed this life March 16, 2021. Nathaniel was born in Huntsville, Alabama to Robert Earl Gaines and Betty Jewel Mayfield.


He was educated in the Lee High School in Huntsville, Alabama.
Nathaniel was employed as a partial owner of a clothing company called Unique Styles and Gaines construction and remodeling company.


Nathaniel enjoyed cooking, watching the Pittsburg Steelers, and having playing family game nights. He also enjoyed collecting exotic reptiles.
Proceeded death by mother, Betty Jewell Mayfield; father, Robert Earl Gaines; Maternal Grand Fathers James “Johnny Boy” Mayfield Grandmother Virginia Mayfield. Paternal Grandmother Fannie Dozier and Grandfather, Grady Lee Gaines, sister; Annette Toney.


He leaves to cherish his memories, Children, Demetria Gaines, Brianna Matthews, Nashawn Gaines, Zakia Gaines, Destiny Gooch, Jajuan Gooch, Kaliyah Pool, Zy’Prea Pool, Niko Pool; sisters, Yolanda Mayfield, Legressa Tony; Niece, Jessica Toney, Betty Galloway, Stacy Mayfield, Gerrial Patton; Nephews, Tracy Mayfield, Gerry Patton; Grandchildren, Amera Thompson, and Paris Gaines. Best friend, April Pool, and devoted friend, Shelron “Two” McGee; a host of aunts, uncles, great nieces and great nephews.
