Nicholas Alphonzo Amos was born August 28,1986, in Nashville, TN and departed this earthly life
suddenly Wednesday, April 5, 2023. Nicholas accepted Christ at a very early age, baptized at Kayne Avenue Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Albert G Jones. Nic was educated in Metro Nashville Public Schools, later graduating from Miller-Mott Technical College. He enjoyed cooking and working in the hospitality industry.
Nicholas loved playing football and basketball. However, his true passions were his music and performing as “NICAROCHI”. Nicholas’ affection for his family and genuine love of people expanded his village
extensively. His fun-loving personality made him a dedicated son, father, brother, uncle and friend.
Preceding him in death are his maternal grandmother, Carrie M. Harrison and bonus-grandparents Henry & Eva Cotton.
Nic leaves to cherish his memory mother Karen V. (Darrell) Amos-Carter; children Nicholas Sanchez, Nic’Kobi Alphonzo and Amani Shanise Osborn; bonus father Darnell Cotton; dedicated brother & sister Eric (Angel) Amos and Jeremi LaShay Cook; brothers Donte Batey, Jamar Swett, Josh McCord, Donald ‘Teroz’ Dowell, Qjuan Ramsey and Marlon Styles; sisters LaJean Batey, Dominique McCord, Braxton McCord, Keteria Ramsey, Nicole Styles; grandparents Walter (Geraldine) Amos; dear friends The “Madison Family” (Roy Hester, Juan Williams, J.R.
