Mrs. Pansy Evadney (Blair) Chesney was born on October 9, 1940 and she was the 5th of 12 children to Mr. Brandon and Mrs. Emma Blair of Rosignal Village, West Bank Berbice. She was educated at the Rosignal Government School was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Owen Chesney. Mrs. Chesney was a devoted member at the Salem Congregation in Georgetown Guyana, South America.
She was preceded in death by parents, Mr. Brandon and Mrs. Emma Blair; 3 sisters, Mrs. Lynette Moriah Mrs. Joylene Burnett, Mrs. Enid Veronica Morris and son, Mr. Owen Chesney, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter(s) Mrs. Deborah Morris, Ms. Diane (Keith) Chesney-Doss, Ms. Dilon Willabus, Mrs. Audrey Kellman, Mrs. Luxannne (Melvin) Blackman; One Son Mr. Bevon (Christine) Blair. 25 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.
Sister Pansy, as she was affectionately called, enjoyed planting her gardens and preparing tasteful dishes for friends and family. She was full of life, high-spirited and was a light to all who encountered her. Her memory and legacy will be treasured by her family and friends.
