On September 15, 2021 Pradie Louis Tibbs Jr was called to his Heavenly Home.
He was born on May 8, 1944 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Pradie and Evelyn Tibbs Sr. in Old Hickory, Tennessee. He was one of seven children that was born from this union. He received his education from the Wilson County Public School system, after his high school years he took up the occupation of being a Masonry Contractor which he continued to do until the day he departed.
Pradie confessed his life to Christ in the year 2000 by baptism, he was a prayer warrior with a strong faith in God and believed that there was never a storm that did not pass over. He was united in holy matrimony to B. Joyce Taylor Tibbs. And was blessed with four loving daughters. Affectionately called by family and friends “Bubba” or “Uncle Bubba”, he was a father figure, brother, and friend to everyone he met. He was the epitome of giving second chances and had a very forgiving spirit. Him being a stern, friendly and giving man made him deeply loved and respected by all. He will be deeply missed by everyone he crossed paths with.
Pradie was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pradie L Tibbs Sr; brother, Harvey Lee Tibbs; and daughter, Janice Brown.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Joyce Tibbs; three daughters, Cheryl Moultry, Adrienne Tibbs (Mack) Taylor Jr, and Pra’Thea (Kam) Obiogbolu; six siblings, Ellen Turner, Sherman Tibbs, Daniel Tibbs Sr, Lynn Sowell, and Illena Tibbs; six grandchildren and two devoted grandchildren, Bre’Anna Tibbs and Bryan Taylor; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who were all dear to his heart.
