Ramona Simpson was born on May 23, 1958 to George Hampton and Georgia Hampton in Nashville, Tennessee.
Ramona transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Saturday, March 3, 2018. She professed her hope in Christ at an early age and became a member of the Church of Christ at Jackson Street.
Ramona received her formal education at Glencliff High School from which she graduated from with many accolades throughout the course of her life. She was a published, nationally recognized poet and author. Ramona was a generous person and was loved by many.
She was preceded in death by parents, George Hampton and Georgia Hampton; siblings, Señora Fentrees and Michael Hampton.
Ramona leaves to cherish her memories, children, Olando Hampton and Stephen (Desiree) Simpson and April; grandchildren, Shantavia Hampton and Amarah Simpson; Aprils three children; siblings, Jimmie Hampton, George (Annie) Hampton, Alstar Hampton, Nerline Hampton; in-law, Royce Fentress; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
