Randi Maiyonhi Fletcher was born July 1, 1986 in Fayetteville, (Ft. Bragg) NC, the daughter of T. Howard Fletcher and Shirley Kennedy Fletcher and loving mother of Jay Marley Fletcher. She peacefully transitioned on Saturday, June 2, 2018.
Randi accepted Christ at an early age at Westwood Baptist Church, University Center. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John L. and Mabel Bowen Fletcher, and Gerald C. Kennedy, Sr.
After graduating from McGavock High School in 2004, she attended Tennessee State University, Nashville State Community College, and AIT seeking a desired career path, but somehow never found the right fit to obtain a degree. She was currently enrolled in the Nursing Program with Nashville State Community College because nursing excited her and that was her new career path. She was employed by Vanderbilt University Medical Center and was supposed to start at St. Thomas Medical Center the week after her transition.
She was very athletic. Track, softball, baseball, karate, basketball, (wanted to do football, but was persuaded to do cheerleading) and loved to dance. She excelled in Track & Field with the Continental T-Belles, McGavock High School and Tennessee State University.
Randi leaves to cherish in her memory, her toddler son: Jay Marley Fletcher; Parents: T. Howard Fletcher and Shirley Kennedy Fletcher; Brother: Theo H. Fletcher II; Nephews: Micah Dennis-Fletcher and Theodore Fletcher III; Grandmother: Gracie Kennedy Vaughn; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.
