Richard is survived by his partner of 18 years, Dedrick Wilson; four devoted brothers, Charles Jr. (Tisha), Michael (Tommi), Andre (Leona), and Carlos; mother-in-law, Bonnie Jenkins; father-in-law, Howard Wilson; sister-in-law, Tamarsa (Kenneth) Rippy; brothers-in-law, Leemon and Cedrick (Jameka); 11 nieces and nephews; dedicated friends, Jarvis, Robert, and Courtland; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other friends; special thanks to the doctors and staff at MedStar Southern Maryland and the University of Maryland Capital Region hospitals.
