Rickie Leon Jemison

Rickie Leon Jemison was born February 10, 1959 to Mary Etta Jemison and Russell Copeland. He transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest on April 27, 2018.

Rickie was educated in the Davidson County Public School System. He professed his belief in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in his later years.

Rickie loved and enjoyed his life to the fullest. He loved animals especially dogs. He stood up for what he believed in and spoke his mind.

Rickie was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jemison Turner; father, Russell Copeland; step father, Leslie Turner; grandmother, Eva Mae Lewis; grandfather, Dennis Jemison; aunts, Delois Lewis, Jeanette Lewis and Carol Jemison.

Rickie leaves to cherish wonderful memories his daughter, Ricko Jemison; son, Ricky Williams; three grandchildren, Kwanzee, Angelina Jemison and Kedarrus Brooks; siblings, Dennis (Bettie) Woodson, Deborah Fletcher, Darryl Jemison, Calvin (Aletha) Jemison and Leslie Lewis; uncles, Walter Lewis and Luther Lewis of Nashville, TN., Pastor Wayne (Crystal) Kittleburg, Curtis (Shirley) Griffin of Rochester, NY, Enrico (Sandra) Soles of Milwaukee, WI., Reverend Billy (Cherie) Jemison, Eugene (Beverly) Jemison, David (Nadine) Jemison and Richard Jemison of Detroit, MI; aunts, Rosa Ludwig, Beverly Lewis and Rose Turner of Nashville, TN., Susan Myrick, Denis Fox, Mary (Michael) Johnson, Diane Austin of Rochester, NY and Ella Jemison Anderson of Detroit, MI; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
