Robert (Dinky) William Johnson

July 22, 1957 — September 18, 2021

Robert (Dinky) William Johnson was born July 22, 1957 the only son to Lean Mai & William Albert Johnson in Nashville, TN. He transitioned to his heavenly home on September 18, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents Lean Mai & William Albert Johnson, Nephew Demetrius Riley, Nieces Donita and Danielle Baines, three brothers in laws Walter Baines, Rodney Riley, and John Gohlston.


Robert (Dinky) Johnson accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age and was baptized at the King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Dr. Morgan Babb. He received his education in the Metro Nashville Public Schools system. He became a licensed electrician in 1997.


Known affectionately by many as Dinky, with a warm smile, caring heart and a gentle spirit, he enjoyed working on cars and different projects that needed repairing. He loved hanging out with friends and family, playing cards, going fishing and listening to music.


Dinky leaves to cherish his memory, long time love of 22 years Ms. Andrea Wiseman; three sons, Robert (Shettia) & William Johnson, Jr and Michael Fikes; two daughters, Timikia & Jasheka Johnson; 14 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, four sisters, Bonita Smith Baines, Celestine Cantrell, Cora Lee Riley & Catherine Lee Moore; devoted aunt, Marjorie Shivers; nephew, Antwan (Alisha) Riley; niece, Maikiia Moore; four great nephews, four great nieces; cousins by family as follows; Tumbling, Johnson, Shivers, Means, Harvell’s, Esaw’s and Phillps; devoted friends, Robert Greenlee & family, Reginald (Tigger) Davis, Evelyn & Ray Goodbar, Marie Floyd & family, Barbara Kinard, Riley, Moore & family and the Shield family. Love of friends starting from Pearl Elementary, Washington Jr High and Maplewood High School, friends from Cumberland View, Preston Taylor & John Henry Hale Homes and other relative and friends.
