“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die.” (Ecclesiates 3:1-2).
Lloyd Marchman and Tanja (Marchman) Jacobs were blessed upon the birth of their firstborn son, Romello Anthony Marchman, October 23, 1997. They basked in the joys with which he filled their lives until the close of his time on earth, May 25, 2020.
“From the moment you were born, you became the sun to my planet.”
Romello was the typical growing youngster who stole his parents’ hearts. They showed their love by supporting their dear son in the activities he most enjoyed. An avid sportsman, Romello participated in soccer, karate, baseball, and football during his formative years. Boy Scouts was another activity that occupied his time. His most recent pastimes were fishing and playing video games.
“Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested” (Sir Francis Bacon).
Romello was educated in the Davidson County School System and graduated from The Academy of Hickory Hollow in 2015. Employed by Stansell Electric Company, he was selected and was participating in the Electrician Apprenticeship Program.
“There are no perfect parents, and there are no perfect children, but there are plenty of perfect moments along the way.” (Dave Willis).
Romello greatly loved his parents, family, and friends who enriched his life with “plenty of perfect moments” during his 22 years. Moreover, there was always a special place in his heart for his beloved grandparents Hans (whom he called Opa) and Helga (whom he called Oma) Heckel who reside in Germany.
“Precious memories, unseen angels/ Sent from somewhere to my soul/ How they linger, ever near me/And the sacred scenes unfold” (J. B. F. Wright).
Precious memories of Romello and his loving ways forever will be cherished by father, Lloyd Marchman; mother, Tanja (Marchman) Jacobs; stepfather, David Jacobs; sister, Kaseia Marchman; brother, Isaiah Marchman; maternal grandparents, Hans and Helga Heckel; paternal grandmother J. Mae Marchman; aunts, Andrea Bradley and Elaine Drew; cousins, Janine Bradley, Eleasha and Kenneth Drew; nieces, Journey Simmons and Ashton Marchman, girlfriend Cessey Kamateh (CeCe) and a host of additional uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
