Ryan Patrick Shefferly born July 1st, 1982 he was 35 years old. Indications of his genius were apparent within his first 15 minutes, he turned his eyes to the different voices in the room and eventually fixing them on his mother’s voice.
Ryan was conversing with people at the age of 10 months. His charisma and verbalization demanded attention; he got plenty of it. Ryan’s creativity and love of the arts eventually landed him in the kitchen of Nashville’s finest dining restaurants for the past 15 years achieving sous chef.
Ryan’s passion for creating exquisite meals was surpassed by the love for his sister Erin Kathleen Shefferly Binczyk, his soon to be born nephew Henryk Binczyk and his brother in law Pawel Binczyk who in Germany unable to attend because Henryk will here with us very soon.
Shocked by this untimely death are dozens of friends and family his Grandmothers Kathleen Johnson and Eleanor Gehringer, Grandfather Ralph C. Shefferly Sr. His Paul Shefferly, His Mother Lt. Colonel Jane Free, stepfather Peter Free, aunts and uncles, Ralph and Sharon Shefferly, Karen Shefferly, Lori and Brett Nerem, Steve and Madeline Shefferly, J.D. and Jen Johnson, Luann Good Rife, Dave and Chris Shefferly and Susan Harding. Ryan loved his family that consists of twenty cousins, just too many to list.
A celebration and memorial service for Ryan Shefferly will be held on September 14, 2017 at 11:30 am to 2:30 pm at Eastland Café located on the corner of Eastland and Chapel. Please come and let us all celebrate our love for Ryan.
