Scottie Ray Bailey, Sr., was born to proud parents, Edna Ruth Bailey and Vernon C. Clemmons on January 27, 1971. God called Scottie home on August 9, 2017. Scottie is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Al Timothy Clemmons and Vincent Clemmons.
Scottie was educated in Metro Davidson County Schools. He was appointed president of DARE in 1986. Scottie’s joy came from spending time with his family and friends.
Scottie loved his Rims, Music and his pet snakes. He took pride in being a well-dressed and fashionable man.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories devoted fiancé, of 12 years, Quiana Quinn; three children, Scottie Ray Archibald, Scottie Ray Bailey, Jr. and Tareka Ednayah Bailey; brothers and sisters, Tyrone Bailey, Wendy Williams, Cheryl Bailey, Cathy Griffin, Lucius Bailey, Jr., Veraon Clemmons, Carlos Williams, Vernon Q. Clemmons, Teresa Clemmons-Coggins, Anita Hopkins (Herb) and Tina Clemmons Majors; in-laws, Billy and Tara Curry; sisters-in-law, Kenya Quinn and Chasity (Thomas) Majors; devoted nephews, Larry “Dink” (Margo) McKissack, Chris Bailey, Larenzo Payne, other aunts and uncles, devoted uncle, Johnny Hollins.
