Sharon Juarez Goodwin-Walker age 66, of Nashville transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Friday, October 31, 2014.
Sharon Juarez Goodwin was born October 25, 1948, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Jimmie L. and Mary Francis Goodwin. She was the second oldest to her big brother Jimmie L. Goodwin, Jr., they were soon joined by little sister, Gwendolynn Goodwin, and little brother, Juluis “Ricky” Goodwin, Sr.
Sharon was raised to love and uplift her family. Sharon always devoted herself to her family and friends, always bringing a smile to any occasion.
She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington and Memphis State University. Sharon was a true knowledge seeker and she taught that learning to acquire knowledge and understanding was the key to bettering yourself and those around you. She always was willing to help others and show them how to help themselves.
In 1973 she gave birth to her oldest child, Oronde N. Goodwin Walker (M. Angelic Simmons), and In 1974 she married Vaughn C. Walker with whom she brought into this world, Nneka S. Goodwin-Walker, a daughter, and another son, Vomo C. Goodwin Walker. She devoted herself to giving her family the best that she could provide and taught them the value of knowledge and Independence.
In addition to her children, she is also survived by her sister, and her niece, Nataki Ayoka; her younger brother, nieces and nephews, Darnell, Chandi, Joshua, Julius Jr., Kaleb, Lakeisha, Rachel, Jonathan and Isiah; her nieces and nephew from her departed older brother, Jimmie Lewis, III, Khary, Kharlen Kortney and her grandkids and children, Ohaige Nkosi, Claude Boone, Oronde Ikenna, Keelan Omari, Ava Savanah, and great grandson, Cameron Rashard
