Sheryle Thomasina Peaks Knox, was born November 3, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois to the union of Thomas and Evelyn Richardson Peaks. She departed this life on Monday, July 25, 2016 in her home at 109-A Dellway Villa Rd., Nashville, Tennessee.
Sheryle was educated in the Nashville Davidson County schools and was a graduate of Meiga High School class of 1965. She went on to further her education at Tennessee State and Fisk University.
On the 21st of January 1969, Sheryle married Ned David Knox of Nashville, Tennessee. To this union they were blessed with three children.
Sheryle was known around Nashville through her music ministry. She played the piano at numerous churches with different groups until her health started to decline.
She professed her love for Christ at an early age and personally studied the Bible daily.
Sheryle was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Evelyn Peaks and her younger brother, Pastor Terry O. Peaks, Sr.
She leaves to celebrate her Home Going and cherish her memories: husband, Ned D. Knox; 3 children, David L. Knox, Terry T. Knox and Nedra S. Knox; 8 grandchildren, Phoenix Knox, Evan Knox, Quinton Knox, Tempra Knox, Lashawn Knox, Shanice Knox, Candice and Calmille Holt; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Ronald C. (Bernadine) Peaks, Donna F. (Dennis) Jones, Earl W. Peaks, Willa P. (Gary) Brown, Doris T. Bradford and Burnes C. Peaks; sister-in-law, Toreda Peaks; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her extended families, Chiquliia (Andrea) Holt and Diana McKinnon.
