Stephen Wayne Murphy

Stephen Wayne Murphy was born on July 23, 1959 to the proud parents of the late Lorean Murphy and Jewel Herron. He turned his life over to Christ at an early age. He attended the public schools of Madison County.

Steve had an outgoing personality and never met a stranger. He was very loving and would give you the shirt off his back. If you ever met him you would never forget him.

He was preceded in death by his sister(s) Norma Jeanette Murphy, and Felicia Murphy.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories: daughter, Chekia Mitchell of Nashville, TN; two sons, Steve Thomas of Memphis, TN and Lorenzo Thomas of Jackson, TN; two brothers, Marvis Murphy of Nashville, TN, and Anthony (Jerria) Carroll of Jackson, TN; one sister, Chiquita (Will) Chism, of Jackson, TN; step-mother, Minister Faith Herron of Whiteville, TN; devoted aunts, Bernice Shead of Jackson, TN, and Daisy Donnell of Moreno Valley, CA; one uncle, Lawyer Murphy of Detroit, MI; eighteen grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and love ones.
He also leaves behind a special cousin, Doris Kirkland who was like a mother, and a very special friend, Timmetrice Dalcon and her son, Antwan Fryerson.
