Tarrence Jamal Grigsby age 32, affectionately known as “T. J” AKA Jamal, born to Michael and Delores Grigsby on March 21, 1985. He departed this life on Wednesday, March 30, 2017 at the
V A Regional Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Tarrence accepted Jesus Christ at an early age in April 1996. He reminds us “to abide in unconditionally love.”
Tarrence received his education in the Metro Public School System at Hunters Lane and Maplewood High School where he demonstrated interest in Mathematics and Literature. He will be remembered as a radical thinker debating controversial subjects on Politics in America. His hobbies were photography, reading and playing video games.
Tarrence was preceded in death by his grandparents, Daisy Manning, Alice Thomas, and Monroe Grigsby; and one uncle, Eric Manning.
He is survived by loving parents, Michale L. Sr., and Delores Grigsby; brother, Michale L. Grigsby, Jr; grandfather, Thad B. Manning, Jr. (Idella); aunts, Virginia Manning, Patricia Ann Jones, Brenda Robinson, and Carrie Manning; uncles, William Thomas, Robert Lee Carney (Carol), Thad Manning III, James Grigsby, Clarence Scruggs, Darrell Manning, John Grigsby, Howard Huddleston, Byron Huddleston, and Anthony Thomas; a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends, Anita Adams (Herman) and Fredrick Pillow.
Public viewing Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 1-6 pm at Highland Hills Funeral Home, 2422 Brick Church Pike. Visitation Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 6-7pm with funeral to follow at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 2448 Herman St., with Pastor Percy J. Clark, eulogist. Interment 10:00am Thursday, April 6, 2017 in the Middle TN State Veterans Cemetery, Pegram, TN.
