Terry Edwin Lewis, born November 1, 1955 to Edward Lewis & Virginia Davis in East Moline, Illinois. At an early age Terry moved to Henderson, Kentucky with his grandmother, Alice Green, where he attended school graduating from Henderson High School in 1975. Thereafter, Terry attended the University of Southern Indiana. In the early 80’s he moved to Nashville where he worked for General Motors Acceptance Corporation, Shelter Insurance, Woodland Hills Youth Development Center and his most recent position, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, where his was known as a person of peace and kindness for over 20 years. Terry loved his fellow employees at the Sheriff’s Office and they loved him.
Terry was called home to his savior on September 27, 2021 and is survived by his dedicated wife, Connie and sons, Terry, Tyler and son Terrell (Yolanda) Howard of East Moline, IL; Siblings Darlene Goins, Doris (Gerald) McLaughlin, Benita, Christopher, Larry and Darrell Lewis all of East Moline, IL. In-Laws, Lula Coleman and Willie Johnson of Alton, IL, Anita (Darrell) Hooks and Chontell Johnson of Clarksville, Carol Johnson and Darren (Endora) Johnson of Bellville, IL, Anthony, Von, Maurice, Ronnie Ray and Obed (Tammy) Johnson of Alton, IL; loving Grandchildren, Chelsee, Kenesha and Kyron Howard and Shayla Mayfield; Great Grandchildren, Nashmir McGee and Jakiya Howard; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
