Vada Hickman Wilson was born on May 19, 1940, in Nashville, Tennessee to Roxie Hickman and Matthew T. Walker. She departed this life on March 23, 2019.
She attended Metro Schools, she was an employee of Coin Brothers, Hilton Airport. She was a member of Russell Tabernacle. She loved to volunteer he time at the Senior Companions.
Mrs. Vada who most people knew as “Ada”, always made people laugh and was always very outspoken person. She loved feeding people and putting smiles on their face.
Preceded in death by son-in-law, Don Corbitt and sisters, Bishop Margaret Givens & Blanche Mitchell. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving daughters, Marylin Corbitt and Evelyn Alexander; grandchildren, Terrell Owens Jr., Donchele (Joshus) Dyer, Latika Alexander, Shalythia Alexander, Keyonna Alexander; seven great grandchildren, Jerreckia Darden, Markecia Corbitt, Raymond Bevels, Quanchico Parks, James Bell Jr., LaDavia Green, Zadynn Singleton, Marco Teasley Jr.; one great great grandchild, Terran Darden, and Sister Etta Church; devoted niece, Earline Brown; devoted companion, Troy Raines; devoted friends, Maggie Phillips, Nellie Bernal, Mary Batts, Deborah Brown, and Katherine Walker; Vada’s Little Porch Posse; Keymariya Brown, “Come go with me”, Kendall Brown (“G.G.”), Javaugh Starks, “Little Old Lady”, “Little Jessie”, Khalia Johnson (“LeLe”); friends of the family, Owens Family, Janice Carter, Patricia Foster, Nicole Tribue, and Henry Howard and special friends, Geraldine Watkins, Stacy Chatman, Stephanie Miles, and Erica Lee.
