Valerie Doris Hayes (Joyce A. Clark) was born to Randolph P. Woodru Sr. and Bessie Mae Woodru in Nashville, Tennessee. She transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Cumberland Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Valerie received her education in the Metro Nashville Davidson County School System. She was a full time mother for many years.
Valerie had several hobbies: she loved to traveling, listening to gospel music, spending quality time with family, and enjoying favorite meals.
Valerie confessed her life to Christ at Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church.
Valerie was preceded in death by her parents, Randolph P. Woodru Sr and mother, Bessie Mae Boleyjack Woodru ; son, Alfonzo J. Clark; grandson, Reginald D. Clark and granddaughter, Porsche C. Clark.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted daughters, Helena Clark, Marcella Clark, and Vanessa Clark (Carl); grandchildren, Shaniqua Clark, Marsha Clark, Isaac Clark, Keisha Clark, Malik Davis, and J’veion Redmon; eleven great grandchildren; sisters, Rosie (Al) Barnett, Betty Parson, and Mattie Black; brothers, Randolph Jr. (Lena) Woodru and Chris Black; favorite cousin, Elvin Woodru Jr; and a host of other relatives and friends; special friend, Michael Howse.
