Vickie Denise Gode

Vickie Denise Goode was born May 7, 1954 in Nashville, Tennessee. She passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 2021.


Vickie “Polly” as she was affectionately called by her Grandmother was the second oldest daughter of Barbara A. Goode who precedes her in death. Vickie was educated in the Nashville Public School System. She spent most of her life as a homemaker with her four children. In 1997 she married her longtime mate Armer Lee Long. Armer and Vickie spent over 40 years together until his death in 2020. Vickie professed her faith in Christ and was baptized in 1998. Vickie’s presence in the lives of those that knew her best will definitely be forever cherished and missed.


She leaves to cherish her memories her four children; Dewayne (LaKeesha) Howard, Lisa (Vincent) Good-Midgett, LaMichael (Lillian) Good, and Michelle Good. Grandchildren; Dewayne Howard III, Stevario Midgett, Stevonta Midgett, Devine Howard, LaMichael Good Jr, Steve Midgett Jr., DeVontae Howard, PFC Stevarius Midgett, Stemarion Midgett, Raegan Jones, Stelisia Midgett, Janiyah Good. Great-Grandchildren; Kayzeon and Aviaan Howard, LaRiyah Midgett, Jordynn Howard. Siblings; Katherine Bell, Amanda Covington, Alex Esmon Jr., Wanda Harris. Special Friends; Judith Phillips, Brenda Burns, and Sheila Polk, and her Nephew Jason Covington. As well as a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends.
