Mrs. Vickie Lynn Archibald Douglas was born on October 28, 1958 to the union of the late Lee Edward and Gladys Alberta Archibald in Nashville, TN. She received her education in the Metropolitan Nashville Davidson County School System. Vickie believed as a Christian and enjoyed worship service at the Greater Christ Temple Church. On the early morning of November 18, 2021 at the age of 63, Vickie departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior in Christ.
Often demonstrated by her smile and laughter, Vickie lived her life to the absolute fullest. She enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, card games, and occasional rides on her motorcycle with close friends. Vickie was an active free spirit with a big heart who enjoyed good times with those she loved. Her time was most enjoyed spent with family, friends and love ones. Being a grandmother was among her favorite past time.
Vickie was employed with the Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority (NMTA). She retired in 2019 after twenty-six years of service with the NMTA; currently known as the WeGo Transit Agency.
Vickie was preceded in death by parents Gladys Alberta and Lee Edward Archibald Sr.; brother Robert Lee Archibald Sr.; sisters Brenda Archibald, Sandra McGlother, Tommie Mae Merritt.
She leaves memories of love to forever cherish with children Erick Archibald, Monique Archibald, and Jason Archibald; brothers Lee Archibald Jr. (Wilhomena), Wayne (Barbara) Archibald, Alton Archibald, Karl Archibald, Derrick Archibald, Michael Archibald, Toney Evans, Morgan Evans; sister Kimberly Prince; grandchildren Erick, Erica, Edrick, Jeremy, Tomesha, Gregory, NaShunti, Aaron, Jashanna, Jason Jr., Ne'vaeh; great-grandchildren Royal, Prince, Sovereign, Loyalty, Keyon, Ka'Jaun, Makai; devoted friend and partner Sercy Mcclain ; lifetime best friend Bonnie Odom; a large host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and love ones.
