Obituary
Wanda Lou Jordan was born on November 23, 1938 to William “Buster” and Lemon Keith in Tullahoma, Tennessee. She was educated in the Coffee County school system and graduated from Davidson Academy.
Wanda was married to the late, Charles Jordan for over twenty years until the Lord called him home.
Wanda accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age at Shorter Chapel AME Church in Tullahoma, Tennessee.
A woman of great taste, Wanda loved fashion and cooking. Although she loved being with her family, Wanda moved to Nashville, TN where she had created careers as an employee of St. Thomas Hospital and Tennessee State University. After relocating to Nashville, Wanda united with Watson Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late, Reverend Curtis W. Goodwin, Sr. Before her health began to decline, she served faithfully on the Nurse’s Guild, Willing Worker’s, and Soul Stirrers Choir. After caring for the students at Tennessee State University for nearly fifteen years, Wanda retired to enjoy the pleasures of life.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Jordan; parents, William and Lemon Keith; sister, Lemon Bachamina Keith and brother, Jerome Keith.
Wanda leaves to cherish her memories; devoted children, Samuel Maupins and Lavonya (Reginald) Cooper; devoted grandchildren, Reginald Cooper, Ingrid (Marlon) Hilton, Reggina Cooper, and Tanya McGehee; siblings, Beadie Keith of Tullahoma, TN., William "Chuck" Keith of Shelbyville, TN, and Thomas Keith of Murfreesboro, TN; great-greatgrandchildren, Jasmyne Mitchell, Zyshonn Burleson, and other great-grandchildren; aunts, Gladys (Elvy) Davis and Sarah Estill of Tullahoma, TN; uncle, Leonard (Zeola) Estill of Shreveport, LA; cousins, Myra Friend and Lynn Martin of Louisville, KY; devoted friend, Reverend Margreat Smithson; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
