Mr. William Bernard “Mac” McKnight, son of the late Enus and Mildred McKnight was born December 1st, 1955. He was a graduate of East Nashville High School class of 1973. He joined the United States Army May 1st, 1979 and went on to serve for 16 years.
He received several commendations during his tenure including the 301 Joint Service Achievement Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, and the National Defense Service Medal. He transitioned from the Army to work for the State Department and the FBI for the next 26 years as an Analyst.
He enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and spending time with friends and family. He will be remembered for his kindness and sense of humor.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Louis McKnight adn Enus McKnight III, and sister, Ellen Hatcher.
He is survived by his children, Dominique McKnight and Cassandra McKnight; his sisters, Angela McKnight, Deborah McKnight, and Alice Lovell; brother ,Ted (Gloria) Knox; and many cousins.
