William Otis Moore

September 13, 1956 — January 30, 2014

Departed this life January 30, 2014. William Otis Moore was born on September 13, 1956 to William and Mattie Moore in Nashville, Tennessee. He departed this life on January 30, 2014.
William was married to Dorothy Moore (Hooper) on September 19, 1997. They were married for 16 years. He was devoted to his wife and their love for one another is everlasting.
He attended Metro Nashville Public Schools and graduated from Pearl High School in 1974. He was a member of the L’ Caps high school fraternity.
He was a dedicated truck driver and enjoyed traveling around the country. He would often call his wife, relatives and friends to let them known about his travels and the many sights he enjoyed seeing.
William was a free spirit who never met a stranger. He loved to laugh, joke and most of all dance. He was a half-timer in high school and often took his wife out dancing. You could always find him on the dance floor well dressed leading the crowd with his hats and matching suits. He truly expressed his dancing talent because he also loved the music. He always knew the songs and who was singing.
He loved football and the TITANS were his favorite team. You mention football and he would be ready to defend his team the TITANS! He would be with family and friends cheering the TITANS team on win or lose.
He had a beautiful smile of joy and was loved by his wife and family; he will be missed but never forgotten.
William Moore is survived by his devoted wife, Dorothy ”Dot” Moore; 2 stepsons Aaron Long and Charles Thomas; brothers, Theodore (Rose) E. Moore, Michael (Earnestine) Moore, George Moore, and David (Mary) Moore; sisters, Elnora Larkin and Sybil Moore; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
