William David (Skip) Waters was born on March 5, 1949, in Nashville, TN, to the late William F. Waters and Cora E. Waters. He fell in love and married the love of his life Frances M. Waters, July 17, 1986.
William expressed his faith in Christ at an early age of 15. He attended and was a proud graduated from Cameron High School and later attended Tennessee State University in1967.
William was a member of the United States Army where he spent 6 years in active military duty and served during the Vietnam War Crisis as a Field Radio Mechanic. He then attended U.S. Armor School in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He retired from the military service in 1984.
He then worked at Western Electric for 25 years, Vanderbilt Hospital for 12 years and then Metro Public Schools as an electrician. He later retiree in 1992.
William had great passion and love for his loving wife, children, grandchildren, great nieces’ nephews, family, friends and his Amazon Alexa. He will always be remembered by his cool swag, fun and giving spirit. He loved to travel with family and close friends all over the world. William was a wonderful man that truly will be missed by many.
William transitioned peacefully from this earthly life to eternal reward on Saturday January 29, 2022. He was proceeded in death by his parents, William Franklin & Cora E. Waters.
William leaves to cherish his legacy to his loving and devoted wife of 34 years Frances M. Waters: Sons; William Damen Waters, Kirby Demonte (Alyshia) Waters: Grandchildren: Alyssa, Whitney and Nakhia Waters. He also leaves behind a Bonus Daughter, Nikki McClendon, Sisters Norma Simmons, Pensacola, FL. Patricia Waters Baskerville, Nashville, TN. Aunts: Carra Barnes, Las Vegas Nevada, Mayverdis Sanders, Los Angeles, CA, In Laws: Eleanor L. Hunt, George B. (Vanessa) Brown, Benita A. Brown and Beverly M. Brown. A host of Nieces and Nephews several other extended family members and close friends: Larry (Ann) Martin, Phillip (Sharon) Doucet, Ralph Cotton, Tom Ellis, Emmitt (Katrice) Harvell, Fred McClendon Jr., Daryl (Tina) Webb and Royal (Cassandra) Milton.
William has fought the good fight. He has finished his race and he has kept the faith. Now the crown of righteousness is in store for him. The only righteous Judge, THE LORD will award to him and not only to him, but also to all who have longed for His appearance.
