Mother Willie Mai Mcdougal

Mother Willie Mai McDougal was born in Nashville, TN to William Frazier and Mabel Louise Jenkins-Davis. She transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Wednesday, October 26, 2016.
She was educated in Nashville Public Schools. At a young age, she started working and took on different jobs, such, factory and caregiver. She later had two beautiful children, John Malone and Mary Frazier-Browder.
In 1968 she married her beloved husband, Hassell G. McDougal. After marriage Mother Willie Mai was employed at Issac & Co, Northern Telecom, and after retirement she became a caregiver to several families loved ones.
In her early years she was baptized at Gordon Memorial United Methodist Church. Later she became a member of Gospel United Missionary Baptist Church many years ago and served under several Pastors which is now lead by Pastor Carlos A. Jones who was able to convince her to join the mother board where she served until her health failed.
Mother Willie Mai loved her family and friends and did everything she could to show it. If there was anyone in need she would always do her best to help them. She knew that is blessed to give. She always put others before herself. Mother Willie Mai was a special lady and touched lives of so many and will be greatly missed.
Mother Willie Mai was preceded in death by her late father, William Frazier Sr., mother, Mabel L Jenkins-Davis, brother, William Frazier Jr., and sister, Marshall Ann Franklin.
She leaves to cherish her loving husband, Hassell G. McDougal; son, John ( Joslyn) Malone and daughter, Mary J. Frazier-Browder; five grandchildren, Nekiesha Frazier, Kalindi Edmondson, Amanda Browder, Toni Grinston, and Lakenya Anderson; 20 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; oneaunt, Ruby Mae ( George) Bartlett; one uncle, Douglas Simmons; cousin, Ernestine Stephens; special nieces, Bobbie aka Tiny Calbert and Jackie Frazier; sisters-in-law, Mary Frances McDougal and Lucy Ann McDougal; brother-in-law, Billy McDougal; special friends, Bobbie Jean Reed, Frances Williams and Leon (Nora Ann) Daniels; other relatives and friends.
