Willie Lewis Neblett, Sr. was born August 6, 1946 in Henderson, Kentucky to the late Gus Lewis Neblett and Bessie Brooks Neblett. He fell asleep in death on December 31, 2015, after several years of illness. Willie was in the care of Alive Hospice at the time of his demise.
Willie Neblett & Izora Moss were joined together in marriage on December 16, 1972 and to this union 2 children were born, Willie Jr., and Tiffany.
Willie was educated in the Public School System of Henderson County Kentucky. He also served in Thailand in the United States Army. When he returned home he became a long time employee of Eaton Axle Company in Henderson until his move to Nashville, Tennessee in 1973. His last employment was Dannon Yogurt Company where he worked as a driver. Willie also loved to use his skills as a mechanic, especially for the friends and family. He also loved life, music, dancing, being a good husband, provider, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and a good friend.
Willie was baptized June 30, 1979 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He faithfully served Jehovah for 36 years. He spent many hours in the ministry encouraging people to read their Bibles daily and to get to know Jehovah, our creator.
Willie was preceded in death by his father, Gus Lewis Neblett, and nephews, Roland Johnson Jr., and Adrian Neblett.
Willie leaves to cherish precious memories, his devoted wife, Izora of 43 years, one son, Willie Jr. (Yvette), one daughter, Tiffany Nicole, two grandsons Jaylen Izaiah and Markail Elizah, both of Nashville, Tennessee; two sisters, Annie (Roland) Johnson, and Sue (Glenn) Neblett, both of Henderson, Kentucky; three brothers, Edward (Diane), of Gary, Indiana, and Ervin, Bobby Ray (Shirley) both of Henderson, Kentucky.
Willie is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.
Willie will be missed as much as he was loved. We look forward to seeing him again in Paradise.
